Over nearly a decade in dentistry, I’ve learned that while creating healthy, confident smiles is incredibly rewarding, it’s the relationships I build with my patients and their families that have kept me passionate about this profession. I want every patient to feel heard, respected, and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Whether you’re here for a routine checkup or a more complex procedure, my goal is to make sure you feel informed, cared for, and confident in the treatment we choose together.
I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois, and over the years I’ve developed an approach centered on trust, education, and personalized care. As I continue to grow in my career, I’m excited to help build a practice where exceptional dentistry goes hand in hand with meaningful relationships, consistency, and a welcoming atmosphere that patients genuinely look forward to returning to.
When I’m not in the office, I’m usually checking out a new Chicago restaurant, getting a workout in, or hanging out with my dog, Oliver, who’s become an unwilling spectator to my video game sessions. I’m also fluent in Arabic and conversational Spanish, which helps me connect with patients from a variety of backgrounds.
Dr. Martha Silva’s passion for dentistry began remarkably early. At just five years old, she knew she wanted to become a dentist. That lifelong calling led her to complete dental assisting training in high school and work as an orthodontic assistant throughout college before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry.
Her professional journey then took an extraordinary turn as she served as an active duty dentist with the U.S. Army, where she received invaluable mentorship in a multidisciplinary group practice setting alongside dental specialists. This experience helped shape her comprehensive, patient centered approach to care.
After completing her military service, Dr. Silva has practiced throughout the Chicagoland area, bringing her expertise to a wide range of patients and communities before joining our Lincoln Park team. She has since earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction that reflects extensive advanced education and excellence across all areas of dentistry.
In addition to comprehensive dental care, Dr. Silva has a special focus on airway centered orthodontics, including early interventional orthodontics, Invisalign®️, and advanced therapies such as MARPE (Miniscrew Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion). Her approach emphasizes not only creating beautifully aligned smiles, but also supporting healthy airway development, facial growth, bite function, and long term wellness.
As a mother of four, including two boys and two girls, Dr. Silva brings a natural warmth and affinity for treating children and families. Her friendly demeanor, advanced training, and commitment to modern, whole patient care make her an exceptional part of our practice.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Jouja sat in the same chair many of his patients sit in today — receiving recommendations he didn’t fully understand and making decisions about his health without the context to truly evaluate them. That experience shaped his entire approach to practice ownership.
